Yeh, I find the graphics really helpful because they show that Jesus *is* our example – that we *are* to live as he did – but that BENEATH that is the sure foundation of a righteous life already lived. So my righteousness is bound up in my *union with Christ* the Righteous One, rather than how successful I am at copying his example. As you say, that is truly freeing!
